It was all the while behind my head, “Grace, update the blog.”
“Grace!! Your blog!!!”
Hah! Some I actually have something better lined up compared to this post that I am writing now. But this promise, I try to keep or else I will be feeling very very guilty.
Life is currently good at this point of time. Busy as usual with work and I have been living in hotel rooms so frequently, that I think I can get a lifetime free rooms my next life. Exaggerating as usual but seriously, it’s just that many nights. I am not complaining since I am out here to earn bucks and I am still young! Hence the enthusiasm. Let’s see how long it can last :P
So, for the sake of typing something, let me tell you about my week.
1. I struggled through my German meetings, once again. That’s not new!!
2. I have been taking up private German lesson again with Goethe Institute. Homework has to be done over the week.
3. I bought lots of items online! To be precise, clothes. Hohohoho!
I know this post is worthless but it’s just a form of “blogging” to make me feel better. So, to a good week ahead! Good night y’all!!
This is officially my first holiday ever since I came to Europe.
So “Why Nice?”
Because it’s nice! Okay, lame joke. I just wanted to show you my face. Just read on…
I started the day early with an American breakfast set. Oh yea, why not French breakfast? Because there it was not offered. The other breakfast set had lots of breads, which is not really my choice.
This plate costs me 12€! Maybe Nice is known as a very touristy place, everything seems to be so much more expensive.
After breakfast, I took a stroll around the city for a few hours.
Oh that’s me, smiling because I just saw a dog poop. Hm…just my observation, the dogs in France are not that well behaved. They are very curious and try to run around when possible. Very unlike the dogs in Germany which are much more composed. I mean, I once saw dogs in a German bookshop! Not like I am very fond of French dogs due to our previous history in Paris whereby I stepped on their little treasure. Hmph!
Enough of dog’s poop. After walking about 5 minutes, some guy came behind me and snatched my bag. I was totally shocked. Without thinking, I chased him and shouted for him to stop! Here’s a photo of the remarkable event.
Yep…seriously! Nobody was hurt, thank God!
Heh! He was actually a street artist. The story above is fake. :P
Street artists are usually people who paint themselves to look like a statue which resembles Statue of Liberty, Superman, etc. This is really one of a kind. A man who looks like he is running against the wind. I spontaneously went behind him and posed like I was chasing him. Those around me started laughing but what the heck, they don’t know me. I, had a cool photo instead. *wink*
The beach around Nice was really beautiful. Water there was also very clear. I think its due to the pebbles on the beach instead of sand.
The next stop was Atibes whichis a 30 minutes drive from Nice. Antibes is another beautiful city with lesser people and the old town has lots of pretty and quaint French streets. There is also a special soap shop (Le Comptoir des Savonniers) there. The owner told that the soaps are specially made and contains all sort of natural goodness.
I bought 2 bars of soaps myself which is the size of the dark brown soap (right) in the above photo. It smells darn.good.I.tell.you.
Antibes also has a port with lots of private yatches.
And if I have not mentioned, French pastries are the best!
Agree with me! NOW!
I know you agreed. Since you are so nice and agreed with me, here’s something if you wanted to see more of me.
A video.
I know, I sound weird and shy but dear friends, just in case you miss me..there, you saw me!
So this is not a potato sack. Boys, this is what we call a tube top, a blouse without sleeves or straps.
I was clearing my wardrobe yesterday and I found this top which I bought years ago. Absolutely love the colour and since its a spring fashion colour, I thought it can be finally in use!! I dont need to wear a cardigan over it and no one is gonna give me odd stares. :)
That was until I saw the words on the top. It says – Mary Quint.
Hm. Ok.
Then the next line was “Hato Group”. Hm…who is Hato Group? Or what is Hato Group?
Nevermind. The last line states, “Beauty Bus”.
Dafuq is “Beauty Bus”??!!
This top would be a good donation piece. Decided! And what was I thinking??!!
To my defense, I bought this online. Must have overlooked the prints.
I told myself to blog at least once a week. But it’s not easy :(
I have been moving around so much lately that I miss staying at one place. After the holiday, I had to leave to another city after resting for one day. So, I unpack my luggage and filled it in with new clothes again.
The whole week was filled with events till night and of all things, my skin started to itch since the beginning of the week. What else can I do but to visit the doctor? Doctors here are like celebrities. Since I did not have any appointments, I had to wait. The two hours wait almost put me to sleep and the doctor only took a look at my skin for 5 seconds before forwarding me to the dermatologist.
At the dermatologist, I had a patch plastered on my back with multiple substances to trigger allergy. If my skin reacts to it, that basically means I am allergic to that certain something. Long story short, no shower for the next 3 days days as the test takes about 72 hours and I am officially announced that I am allergic to Nickel. Blood test was also taken to look out for other allergies. Speaking of blood test, I haven’t had any jabs/ blood taken since God knows when. This is the second time in one month. Such bad luck!!!
My skin still itches a little but the patches on the face went down a little. This is what I get after a holiday.
Am totally looking forward for Easter holidays this coming Friday. Do you celebrate Easter?
I was in France for a 1 week trip. Nope, not the ever famous Paris (I think Paris is overrated!!). Flew to Nice, Côte d’Azur last Saturday and every single day was spent in a different city nearby. I never knew this place “Nice” (pronounced as “Niss”) existed but I am glad that I made a trip there. Côte d’Azur is apart of southern France.
Boy oh boy, it was soooo beautiful. Think scenery from postcards, it was THAT beautiful. I felt very blessed that I was able to see it myself. It was a little chilly during the first few days but overall very nice weather as it is always sunny!
Anyway, just a quick overview of the amazing trip…
I saw lots of (romantic) French balconies. Those where we girls wish to wakeup looking out to one and a tall handsome french dude standing out at the balcony with a cup of coffee…*smirks*

Beauuuutifullll french beaches! Unfortunately the weather was still a little too cold for bikini but I did see a topless lady….she was in her 60s though. So I have nothing to talk about except that it was droopy…..Next!!!

Lots of yachts…from small to HUGE ONES! Private yachts with private boats on it or what about a private helicopter on a private yacht. I failed to meet any of the owners though…. :( Well, if I did, I wouldn’t be blogging here! Hmm..just checked the price of a random huge yacht - €57,500,000! DAFUQ?! Do they print money???!!

Besides having some of the riches people in France, the french have the best desserts, imo!! I always look forward to their bakeries because its just too awesome! I am never a great fan of sweet stuff but when I say this is good, it IS good!

And guess what’s the highlight of the trip??? I saw Angelina Jolieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…
………..
…..’s palmprint! Hehehe….At least I know she was once there, where I was standing! I am just 10 years late…hmpf!
